Welcome to Our School and Our Community

Chemainus Secondary School (CHSS) wishes to welcome all new and returning students to the 2017-2018 school year. Chemainus Secondary is a Grade 8-12 school of approximately 300 students that provides a full educational program within a flexible, caring and safe environment.

Chemainus is a picturesque town located on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The town is internationally recognized due to the 30+ huge murals painted on buildings throughout the community depicting the history of the local area. Students come from Chemainus as well as the neighboring communities Crofton and Saltair.
